Climate migrants living in the urban slums are searching for better and secure life. But urban slums located mostly in low lying environmentally hazardous area are coupled with inadequate facilities of food, shelter, sanitation and health care that make their life even worse. The current paper is a descriptive type of quantitative study conducted in Dhaka to review socioeconomic living condition of the slum dwellers. Older Women are the vulnerable groups in the society in terms of climate change. Such older women living with messy and unhealthy environment are the target group for this research. The study conducted among the slums of Dhaka with purposive sample survey, KII and in depth qualitative interviews of 50 selected climate migrant slum dwellers. The study reveals the severe need to give the proper facility and services as the basic requirements for their standard of living. The real challenge was to upgrade the people’s mind to rethink about older person. Finally, planned migration and secured socio-economic factors are suggested through this paper to lessen the exposure to further poverty of urban poor.
